Disable PID

I've a very simple menu triggered popup at Author > Contact:

https://haskell2.hawkfeather.com/

How do I disable the ?pid=xxxx parameter on the mailto: & tel: URL's in the popup?

mailto colon something at something dot com?pid=2387
tel colon 123-456-7890?pid=2387

Ahh that is definitely a bug, we will get a patch out for that as it should only be for valid links. Appreciate the report. I'll try to get it patched by end of this week.

I'll dig in and see if there is a way currently per link to disable link tracking args.

Daniel Iser This bug is still present and unfortunately causes serious problems, especially with links containing phone numbers. Is it possible to know when the next version is planned that resolves this bug? For the moment I’ve patched the issue with a custom JavaScript function.

Thanks in advance.

Tiziano Fogliata Multiple fixes are in a PR and going through review for release.

We ended up finding multiple reports of differing pid issues. Were trying to tidy them all up this week.

Quick update: The fix is confirmed and includes:

  1. ✅ mailto: and tel: links no longer get ?pid= parameters added
  2. ✅ Bonus: We added click tracking for these links as conversions - so you'll now see when visitors click email/phone links in your popup conversion counts!

Should be in the next release. Thanks again for the patience - and for the initial report that helped us catch this! 🙏

Hello, is this still ongoing? I'm experiencing a same-ish situation, I created a button with link #popmake-2235. It pops up a popup containing two phone numbers tel:+... buttons. Boths buttons link to tel:+... with ?pid=2235 behind it. On android devices it wants to dial the phone number with 742235 added. On iPhones it presents te correct number. Can you confirm this happens? So in short, a phone number "tel:.." button on a popup adds ?pid= to the link
