Zero Configuration Setup

If FluentCRM is installed, Popup Maker Pro detects it automatically. No API keys, no connection wizards, no settings pages to configure. Both plugins live in WordPress—they just work together.

Automatic Contact Handling

When logged-in users click CTAs, Popup Maker automatically resolves their FluentCRM contact record. If they don’t exist in FluentCRM yet, a contact is created automatically using their WordPress user data.

Full WordPress Integration

Your contact data stays in your WordPress database. No external API calls to third-party servers. No monthly platform fees. Marketing automation that runs on your infrastructure.

Current Limitations

Logged-In Users Only: FluentCRM CTA actions currently require users to be logged in to WordPress. The integration uses WordPress user data to identify contacts.

Pre-Built Automations: Automation funnels must be created and published in FluentCRM before you can trigger them from popup CTAs. The integration triggers existing automations—it doesn’t create them.

SmartLinks Require Pro: The SmartLink CTA type requires FluentCampaign Pro, which is a separate premium plugin from the FluentCRM team.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does the FluentCRM integration require Popup Maker Pro?

    Yes. FluentCRM CTA actions are a Pro feature. The free version of Popup Maker doesn’t include CRM integrations.

  • Do users need to be logged in?

    Currently, yes. FluentCRM CTA actions work for logged-in WordPress users. The integration automatically uses their WordPress email to find or create FluentCRM contacts. Anonymous visitor support is planned for a future release.

  • Do I need FluentCampaign Pro?

    Only for SmartLink CTAs. The Add Tag, Add to List, and Start Automation features work with the free FluentCRM plugin. SmartLinks require FluentCampaign Pro.

  • Can I redirect users after the CTA action?

    Yes. Each CTA type supports an optional redirect URL. The FluentCRM action executes first, then the user is redirected to your specified URL.
