WP Fusion popups combine the power of personalized messaging with your CRM data. WP Fusion is the bridge between WordPress and your CRM or marketing automation platform. With 58+ supported CRMs and 163+ WordPress plugin integrations, it’s the go-to solution for membership sites, e-commerce stores, and anyone who needs their WordPress data flowing to their marketing stack.

Important: This integration is provided by WP Fusion, not Popup Maker. When you install WP Fusion and connect it to your CRM, it automatically adds new targeting capabilities to Popup Maker. You get the best of both worlds—Popup Maker’s popup building and WP Fusion’s CRM connectivity.

How It Works

WP Fusion adds features to Popup Maker when both plugins are active:

  1. Install both plugins: Popup Maker (free) + WP Fusion (paid)
  2. Connect your CRM: WP Fusion supports 58+ platforms
  3. New targeting options appear: “User Tags” condition in Popup Maker
  4. Forms sync automatically: Popup submissions flow to your CRM

No coding required. WP Fusion handles the connection; you just configure your popups.

CRM-Based Targeting

Show popups based on CRM tags

User Tags Condition

Target popups based on CRM tags applied to logged-in users. Show popups only to users with specific tags—or hide popups from users who already have certain tags.

Use Cases:

  • Show upsell offers only to customers tagged “purchased-basic” but not “purchased-premium”
  • Display renewal reminders to users tagged “subscription-expiring”
  • Hide promotional popups from VIP customers tagged “lifetime-member”
  • Trigger onboarding sequences based on “new-customer” tags
  • Personalize content by interest tags (“interested-in-webinars”, “prefers-email”)

Configuration:

  1. Create a popup in Popup Maker
  2. Go to Targeting tab → Add Condition
  3. Select “User Tags” from dropdown
  4. Choose one or more tags from your CRM
  5. Popup shows only to logged-in users with matching tags

Note: This condition requires users to be logged in. Anonymous visitors don’t have CRM tags.

Form Data Sync

When visitors submit forms in Popup Maker popups (via form plugin integrations), WP Fusion syncs that data to your connected CRM. New contacts are created or existing contacts are updated automatically.

  • Do I need Popup Maker Pro for this integration?

    No. The WP Fusion integration works with free Popup Maker. WP Fusion adds the User Tags condition regardless of which Popup Maker tier you use.

  • Can I target anonymous (non-logged-in) visitors with WP Fusion popups?

    Not with CRM tags. Tag-based targeting requires users to be logged in so WP Fusion can match them to CRM contacts. For anonymous visitors, use Popup Maker’s standard targeting conditions.

  • Which form plugins work for data sync?

    WP Fusion integrates with most major form plugins: Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms, WPForms, Formidable Forms, Fluent Forms, and more. Check WP Fusion’s form integration docs for the full list.

  • Does this work with WP Fusion Lite (free version)?

    WP Fusion Lite has limited features. Check WP Fusion’s comparison to see if the Popup Maker integration is included in the free tier.
