Introduction to the Popup Editor

This guide shows you how to use the default block editor to edit Popup Maker popups.

1. Click Popup Maker > Add New Popup

2. Name your popup.

This is the internal name you’ll see in the list of all your popups.

In our example, we typed, “My Awesome Popup”.

Then start adding your content by clicking in the content area and typing the forward slash to select a block.

In our example, we added a heading and a Popup Maker CTA button.

Read our CTA how-to guide to learn how to set up a complete Popup Maker CTA.

3. To add our content, we typed a forward slash, then we selected Call to Action Buttons.

Add an Optional Title

If you want to add an optional popup title, follow these steps.

The title will display at the top of the popup on the front end of your site.

You can see an example of the title in the Preview steps after this section.

5. Type your title into the Title field

Preview Your Popup

6. Click the View icon, then select Preview Popup

7. The popup will display in a new browser tab.

In our example, you can see the Popup Title we entered in step 5.

Save and Publish Your Popup

8. Click Publish to save your changes

9. Click Publish to confirm and make your popup live

Note: We did not create a popup trigger (such as a click or auto open) in this popup editor guide.

Remember to create a popup trigger to launch your popup for your website visitors to see.

Read our Add a Popup Trigger guide to learn how.

10. Go back to the All Popups page to see your popup’s internal name

Woo hoo! Now you know how to edit your popups using the block editor. Congrats! 🎉
