This guide covers two installation methods for installing Popup Maker Pro and Pro+.
- Paste your Popup Maker Pro license key and let WordPress do the rest.
- Manually upload the Pro ZIP file that you can download from your Popup Maker account.
We’ll walk you through each process step-by-step. After the installation steps, we’ll go over how to install your Pro+ addons.
Note: Before we begin, make sure you have the free version of Popup Maker already installed on your WordPress site. If not, please refer to the installation guide for the free version first.
Having Popup Maker Free installed is essential as the Pro and Pro+ versions build upon its core functionality. Once that’s ready, you have two main ways to get Pro running.
The first method, which we recommend for its simplicity, involves pasting your license key and letting WordPress handle the installation automatically. The first method takes about two minutes.

1. Using Your License Key
Step 1. To start, visit https://wppopupmaker.com/account/. Log in, click License Keys, find Popup Maker Pro, and copy your license key.
Step 2. In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Popup Maker > Go Pro.
Step 3. Paste your Pro license key into the license field, and click Activate.
Step 4. Click INSTALL PRO!
Step 5. Then, in the OAuth window, hit Connect and Install. WordPress will then verify, download, and install Pro for you. You’re done!
The second method gives you more control. You’ll download the plugin ZIP file from your account and upload it manually to WordPress.
2. Manually Uploading Through WordPress Admin
Step 1. Go to https://wppopupmaker.com/account/, click File Downloads.
Step 2. Find Popup Maker Pro, and click Download, and save the popup-maker-pro.zip file to your computer.
Step 3. In your WordPress admin panel, go to Plugins > Add New, and click Upload Plugin.
Step 3. Click Choose File or Browse, select the popup-maker-pro.zip file you downloaded, and then click Install Now.
Step 4. Once the upload finishes, click Activate Plugin.
Step 5. Go to Popup Maker > Go Pro.
Step 6. Paste your Pro license key into the license field, and click Activate.

Installing Pro+ Addons
If you have Pro+, you’ll first install Pro using either method above. Then you can install your specialized Pro+ addons like Ecommerce Popups or LMS Popups.
Here are the steps to install your Pro+ addons.
Step 1. Again, head to https://wppopupmaker.com/account/ and click File Downloads.
Step 2. Download the specific Pro+ addon ZIP files you have, such as popup-maker-ecommerce-popups.zip or popup-maker-lms-popups.zip.
Step 3. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin in your WordPress admin. Upload each Pro+ addon zip file individually and then activate them. It’s crucial that Pro is active before you activate any Pro+ addons.
