What are Content Targeting Rules?
Think of LifterLMS Content Targeting Rules as smart filters that show popups on specific LifterLMS pages like account dashboards, checkout pages, and student portal sections.
Here’s an example
You can show upgrade offers on the student dashboard, display trust badges on the checkout page, or show course recommendations when students view their enrolled courses.
Where do I find these Targeting Rules?
When you create or edit a Popup Maker popup, go to Popup Settings > Targeting. Click the dropdown to see all available LifterLMS content targeting rules.
Always remember to Publish or Save your popup after you’re done editing and adding targeting rules.

Any LifterLMS Page
Use the Any LifterLMS Page targeting rule to show popups on any page that is part of your LifterLMS learning management system.
1. Click Any LifterLMS Page from the dropdown

LifterLMS Account Pages
Use the LifterLMS Account Pages targeting rule to show popups on specific sections of the student account area.
This is perfect for showing contextual offers and information based on which part of their account students are viewing.
1. Click LifterLMS Account Pages from the dropdown
2. Select one or more account page types
Click the Select Page Types field to select one or more account page types:
- Dashboard: Student dashboard
- My Grades: Grades view
- View Courses: Enrolled courses list
- View Memberships: Active memberships list
- View Achievements: Earned achievements
- View Certificates: Earned certificates
- View Favorites: Saved courses
- Notifications: Student notifications
- Edit Account: Account profile editor
